Our Website is only intended for use by people registered with us and resident in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. At our complete discretion we may accept or reject orders from people outside of these territories.
You will be able to access most areas of this Website without registering your details with us. Certain areas of this Website are only open to you if you register. We may revise these terms and conditions at any time by updating this posting. You should check this Website from time to time to review the then current terms and conditions, because they are binding on you.

REGISTRATION

To create a successful sales order, you are required to be a registered user of www.Pound4Phone.com

By accepting these TERMS & CONDITIONS, you agree:

  • The details provided during registration are correct and accurate.
  • That you will not divulge your user name and password to another/anyone else.
  • You will only use your account for uses intended by PhoneCentreUK.com and no other.
  • You will maintain any changes to your account details.
  • You will, within 12 hours of knowing, inform PhoneCentreUK.com of any breach of security that may result in another accessing your account.
  • That you are the legal owner, free of any third party contract (i.e. network airtime agreement) of all mobile phones submitted during the sales order.
  • That you are over 18.
  • You are a resident in the United Kingdom and have accessed our site from within the UK.
  • You are legally capable of entering into a contract.
  • The details provided by you during the registration are correct and accurate.

www.Pound4Phone.com ensure all details submitted by you are stored securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Terms and Conditions for mobile phones

Used - Working Phones:

Each mobile phone sold should match the make and model in the sale order and meet the following conditions:

  • The phone must switch on and off
  • The phone must make and receive phone calls
  • The phone must not have any security or pin codes
  • The phone must be complete with all battery covers and bodywork.
  • The integral body work should have no cracked, missing plastics / metal and there should be no missing buttons.
  • The body work should not be hanging off the main body of the phone in any way.
  • The LCD must be working and power up correctly and fully beyond the network 'Welcome Note', the screen intact with no cracks.
  • The LCD must have no lines or missing pixels
  • The screen must be intact with no cracks
  • Phones should not have liquid damage.
  • A white screen does not constitute a working phone.
  • If the phone has a touch screen the touch screen must be fully functional.
  • The battery should be included and hold charge.
  • Basically the phone must have not faults to be paid the "working price"
  • Iphones must be of UK origin and not have been jailbroken/ unlocked and have no pin codes. The back housing must also be intact and not cracked.
  • The Mobile phone must also not be registered as lost, stolen or barred (for any reason including non payment) on any world wide network, we check phones by www.checkmend.com/uk

Faulty - Non working phones:

  • Must not be snapped in half
  • Must not be crushed in anyway
  • Must at least "power on"
  • The mobile phone must also not be registered as lost, stolen or barred (for any reason including non payment) on any world wide network, we check phones by www.checkmend.com/uk

Brand New phones must meet the following conditions:

  • Must be brand new in original box
  • Fully functional, no marks/scratches/wear & tear
  • Screen seal must be intact, not removed
  • The phone must not have any calls or data saved(deleted calls & data can be still located)
  • IMEI number on the phone box must match the imei of the phone
  • All accessories/manuals,chargers etc must be supplied unopened and unused brand new

Please note:
Please write your order reference number in your package.
We will not take any responsibility for the loss or damage to handsets before receipt at our warehouse.
We strongly recommend that all our customers pack their handsets to minimise the risk of damage.
We recommend that you send the phone back by a trackable, traceable insured method as we are not responsible for phones lost in the post and will not pay out for them.

Failure to meet above requirements may decrease the original valuation price quoted.

Your quoted price(s) might be revised according to the guide below if we find the following faults.

Reduction Percentage Type of Damage

-15% Missing battery, major cosmetic scratches around body

-25% Major scratches on lcd screen. Cracked plastic screen including front and back covers

-75% Not functional. Heavy cosmetic damage. Bad cracks, Any LCD damage, Glass smashed screen. Phone with PIN lock/password

-100% Water damaged, lost, blocked, stolen or fake items.

Please note:

  • We do not accept stolen or barred handsets. We check all received phones via www.checkmend.com a crime protection database, to ensure that the mobile phones are not barred or registered stolen.
  • By submitting an order through our site you warrant that your mobile phone(s) comply with these terms. If a phone fails to meet our terms and conditions we will change your order according to the condition or the model of mobile phone(s) that you have sent us.
  • Please remove any phone passwords, lock/security or pin codes off your handsets before sending them to PhoneCentreUK.com. If we receive your handsets and cannot fully test them due to a lock or security code we will attempt to call and/or email you for the codes. If we do not get a reply within 48 hours your phones will be downgraded and processed as non-working. If you would like your phone(s) to be returned then we will return your phone(s) free of charge. You must inform us within 48 hours of our email/phone call.
  • Please note, we do not require any accessories to be sent along with the used/faulty phones, this will not increase the value of the offer made; nor will we be able to return these at any stage after receipt.

SIM Cards and Memory Cards:

Please remove SIM, Memory Cards and any personal data from your handset cards before sending us your mobile phone. Any SIM Cards sent to us by mistake cannot be returned and will be destroyed immediately.

We accept no liability or responsibility in the event that any phone that has been sent with its SIM card is lost and charges are then incurred. You shall continue to be responsible for such charges.
You are responsible for cancelling any airtime contract linked to each mobile phone. We are not responsible for any call costs that may be incurred arising before, or after, receipt of your mobile phone, or arising from any other circumstances whatsoever.
www.PhoneCentreUK.com cannot be held responsible for any personal data left on the handset.

PRICING

All prices include VAT (where applicable) at the current rate. We reserve the right to change prices with out notice, but all orders placed prior to a price change will be honoured at the agreed price when the order is placed. Current 'pending' orders are valid for 7 days after the order has been placed. We will send you an email notifying you that your order has been accepted when we receive your mobile phones. If we receive your phone after this 7 day period we reserve the right to change the price of your phone(s) to reflect the new price (either upwards or downwards) if prices have changed during this period

PAYMENTS

We offer an option of cheque, bank transfer and paypal payments. You will be required to select a payment option when placing each online sell order. This payment option cannot be changed once the order is placed.

Where possible we will endeavour to make a payment within 2-4 days of receipt of your handset in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. At busy times of the year we cannot guarantee payment within this period. All payments are non-transferable and www.PhoneCentreUK.com reserves the right to withdraw offers without notice.

Cheque Payments

Cheque payments can only be made to the name and address given when you register.

Cheque payments will be sent by using Royal Mail.

If you have damaged your cheque, you can have it reissued, free of charge, by posting us a written request and including the damaged cheque to the following address:

If the damaged cheque is not received by us, a cancellation fee will apply and will be deducted from the re-issued cheque value.

If you have lost your cheque you can request for it to be cancelled and re-issued. A cancellation fee will apply and will be deducted from the re-issued cheque value.

Bank Transfer payments

Bank Transfer payments can only be made to the account details given when placing the online order. We cannot, under any circumstances, recall or reissue bank transfer payments once they have been made.

POSTING YOUR PHONES

PhoneCentreUK.com does not take any responsibility for the loss or damage to handsets before receipt at our warehouse.

We strongly recommend that all our customers pack their handsets to minimise the risk of damage. The prepaid envelope does not guarantee that the handset will be received in the same condition as when it was sent.

We recommend that you send the phone back by a trackable, traceable insured method as we are not responsible for phones lost in the post and will not pay out for them.

We recommend sending the parcel via special delivery to the following address:

Special Delivery means your phone(s) are insured up to a value of £500.
Please note that if you use Freepost to send your mobile phones it can take up to 5 working days to reach us.

RETURNS AND ADJUSTED PAYMENTS

If a phone fails to meet our terms and conditions we'll propose an adjusted price by email. If you choose to decline our new offer, we are happy to return the phone. We have the final decision on all phone values. Adjusted orders will be automatically processed for payment if you do not reply to our proposed offer email within 3 days.

Additional accessories that have been sent in with your handset which have not been requested by PhoneCentreUK.com cannot be returned.

Goods which are “lost, blocked, or stolen” will not be returned in accordance with best practise. “Fake” goods will be returned if PhoneCentreUK.com considers that they were remitted in good faith.

Any devices that are sent to PhoneCentreUK.com and do not have a cash back value will be recycled in the greenest possible way.

LOST, STOLEN, BARRED or FAKE PHONES

We do not accept lost, stolen, barred or fake handsets. We check the IMEI numbers of all submitted orders via CheckMEND to ensure no blocked or stolen phones are sold to us. If we find a phone to be blocked or stolen, we will inform the seller via email and request that the sender will be asked to contact CheckMEND within 28 days to prove that they are the rightful owner and request the phone to be unblocked. If the phone is unblocked within this period, the order will be processed as normal. If however, the phone is not unblocked within the 28 days, we will be required by law to dispose of it. If we at any time become aware of any issues, we reserve the right to withhold/cancel payment and you agree to co-operate with us and any authorities should we so request.

FORCE MAJEURE

Please note we will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of our obligations above due to circumstances beyond our control.
